  • Question : Write a letter to your aunt Gautami narrating to her an accident of the bus in which you were travelling. Sign yourself as Jamana.

    Answer :

    Dear Aunt Gautami

I would have never lived to write this letter to you, hadn't I had a providential excape in an accident last week involving the bus I was travelling by and a truck.

Phew! shudder even now to recall the dreadful incident. Everything was fine-a sunny morning and a brand new bus. We were cruising at about 80 kilometres on hour. Sitting at my favourite seat, next to the driver, I was enjoying every moment of the journey from Ambala to Ludhiana where I was going to visit a friend. Suddenly, near Rajpura, a truck laden with huge logs, appeared from nowhere. And before the driver could realize or do anything, it smashed in to the bus badly damaging seats no. 8.9 and 10, seriously injuring the passengers - a husband-wife and their little daughter. I was thrown out of my seat and dashed against the window.

Fortunately I escaped with a cut on my head but the driver, who was trapped in his seat, and 3 passengers weren't lucky enough.

Luckily, the ambulance of Punjab Police Highway Patrol arrived within no time and transferred all the injured, including me and the driver, to the Rajpura Civil Hospital. Thank God there was no loss of life. The driver has broken his right leg and the passengers on seats 8.9 and 10 had received many deepcuts.

I'm back, with God's grace. My body, particularly the head, still aches but I guess I'm fine. Mom and Dad have already offered prassad at the temple.

Please, convey my respects to Uncle Sidharth. Don't worry about me.

    Yours affectionately

    Jamana
